As you can probably guess by the amount of vehicle work in my book, I led the Toyota account for 5 years.
Coming in, departments were very much working in silos and tonally the work was all over the place. Reflecting back 5 years later, not only do we have a strong creative vision with total client buy-in that is reflected in all of our work, but our cross-department collaboration between Creative, Strategy, Media and Data, has led to a 2024 Effie Win, the 2024 Adweek Media Plan of the Year award, and a 2024 Jay Chiat Strategy Award. Also, we received the highest client satisfaction score in the agency partnership’s 20 year history.
As the largest account in the agency, it has felt like moving the literal Titanic. But I’m really proud that we steered clear of that iceberg.
